General Music/Chorus West Rocks Middle School School Year 2010-2011 Pending Finalization of Budget Salary range:? 447,683 - $106,994 ? JOB DESCRIPTION: Provide meaningful musical experiences and supervise music activities for student?s grades 6-8. ??Assist classroom teachers as a resource person.? Coordinate music with other academic areas.? Assist and create school programs for concerts and assemblies.? Receives general supervision from the? middle school principal and technical supervision from the Curriculum & Instruction Department. ? PLANNING: Ability to plan instruction to achieve selected objectives related to individual and group needs, the academic program, social and emotional growth, and the cultural background of students. ? KNOWLEDGE: The teacher possesses: a.??????????? knowledge of the subject(s) to be taught b.??????????? knowledge of human growth and development as it relates to the teaching-learning process c.???????????? knowledge of the American public school system ?
