Head Teacher:

The Head Teacher is the professional responsible for the planning and implementing the day-to-day educational portion of the program and for addressing the day-to-day emotional and physical needs of the children. Maintain professionalism and confidentiality at all times.

- Must meet the qualification for State of CT approval as Head Teacher
<br>
-Adheres to NAEYC’s Code of Ethical Conduct
<br>
-Complies to policies listed in Child Care Employee Manual
<br>
-Must be able to successfully pass all security and background checks in accordance with regulatory requirements
<br>
-Work under the direction of Boys & Girls Club and Family Center of Bristol agency policies
<br>
- Create, organize, and post a weeky schedule of activities
<br>
-Responsible for planning and implementing the day to day education portion of the program, and having benchmark based curriculum prepared in a timely manner
<br>
-Use appropriate and positive dicipline and train staff so dicipline is consistent
<br>
-Work with the site Manager in providing leadership and role modeling for staff
<br>
-Establish and maintain effective communication with parents; sharing communication from administration as necessary
<br>
-Attend staff meetings and trainings to meet continuing education requrements
<br>
-Ensure safety in all program areas
<br>
-Inform site Manager of any problems or concens with children & staff
<br>
-Maintain attendance records and files
<br>
-Perform any other duties as requested by the Site Manager/ Child Care Director
<br>
-Computer Skills; Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel
<br>

Requirements:
<br>
Bachelors Degree in ECE preferred or Bachelors Degree in related field with 12+ ECE credits, or Associates Degree in ECE and 1 year teaching experience.
