Responsibilities include:
<br>

<br>
1) Plan constructive curriculum that will help children achieve important developmental and learning goals;
<br>

<br>
2) Initiate experiences that will lay the foundation for success in literacy, music, movement and dance, art, sports and games.
<br>

<br>
3) Adapt teaching methods and instructional materials to meet students varying needs and interests;
<br>

<br>
4) Compile portfolios of children’s work and assess each child’s progress according to developmental milestones and the individual child’s growth.
<br>

<br>
5) Promoting a positive social environment, including establishing appropriate boundaries and guidelines for the children.
<br>

<br>
6) Facilitate the development of social skills, self control and self regulation in children using positive guidance techniques;
<br>

<br>
7) Read books to and with groups of children or individual children.
<br>

<br>
